Strange, Cold

The weatherman looks nervous
as he predicts a frost in summer.
He's been thinking again,
has realised his job security
is based on the continued rotation
of a small thing keeping
its precise distance from the sun.

As we know, there's no
such thing as a circle,
and an ellipse is just
a sideways look at
an imaginary construct.

No wonder he's nervous.
