Peter Howard (1957-2017) was a telecommunications systems design consultant. He has had poems published in magazines, anthologies, and on television. He won 2nd prize in The Daily Telegraph / Arvon Competition (2000).

His collections Low Probability of Racoons came out in 1994, Game Theory in 2005 and Weighing the Air in 2007.

He taught Animated Poetry in Flash for the trAce Online Writing School, and an E-Poetry module for the Online MA in Creative Writing and New Media at De Montfort University in 2008-09. He was commissioned by 57 Productions to produce animated versions of poems by Peter Finch, Tom Leonard, Jean 'Binta' Breeze, amongst others.
